Printed NCR Pads & Sets

NCR Printing remains a dependable choice for businesses that still rely on handwritten paperwork, duplicate records, and clear audit trails. From order pads used on site to invoice books completed on the move, carbonless forms provide a practical, low-tech solution that works every time—no carbon sheets, no mess, and no guesswork when copies need to match.

At Inprint, we produce carbonless forms that are built around how your business actually operates. Whether you’re issuing invoices, recording deliveries, or taking orders at the counter, the focus is on clarity, consistency, and forms that stand up to daily use.

Carbonless Forms Designed for Real-World Use

Well-printed carbonless duplicate forms and multi-part sets make paperwork faster and more reliable. Each set transfers cleanly through the layers, ensuring every copy is legible and aligned. This is especially important for invoice and receipt forms, where accuracy matters for both customer records and internal accounts.

We print short and medium runs to suit organisations that don’t want to overstock, while still maintaining consistent layout and print quality across repeat orders. From simple layouts to branded business forms, everything is set up to be easy to write on, easy to file, and easy to recognise.

Duplicate, Triplicate and Multi-Part Business Forms

Different jobs call for different copy requirements. Duplicate and triplicate sets are commonly used for delivery notes, order confirmations, and invoice books, allowing one copy to stay with the customer and another to return to the office. For more complex workflows, multi-part business forms help keep sales, accounts, and operations aligned without extra admin.

Numbered carbonless forms are available where tracking and reference control are essential. Sequential numbering supports stock control, compliance, and internal checks—particularly useful in trade, logistics, healthcare, and service environments.

Practical Sizes and Consistent Layouts

A4 carbonless forms suit detailed paperwork such as service reports and full invoices, while A5 carbonless forms are popular for pads used on the move or at point of sale. Layouts are kept clear and functional, with spacing that works for handwriting and fields that guide users naturally through the form.

If you already use personalised invoice books or customised invoice pads, we can match existing formats or refine them for better usability. Logos, contact details, and brand elements are applied cleanly without interfering with legibility.

Built for Businesses That Need Reliability

Many organisations choose carbonless printing because it removes dependency on systems, batteries, or connectivity. Forms can be completed anywhere, stored easily, and referenced quickly. This makes them a dependable option for engineers, delivery teams, retail counters, and offices handling manual order processing.

Our experience working across healthcare, education, retail, finance, and the public sector means we understand the practical and regulatory expectations behind business paperwork. Each job is handled with care, from artwork checks through to final production.

Experienced Production, Consistent Quality

Inprint has been producing business-critical print since 1986. Our team of over 30 print professionals works six days a week, using a combination of Heidelberg litho presses and high-spec digital equipment to maintain sharp detail and reliable consistency across runs.

Carbonless forms are printed with attention to alignment and pressure sensitivity, ensuring each layer performs as intended. This level of control is especially important for personalised duplicate invoice books and triplicate invoice pads, where poor registration can make copies hard to read.

Straightforward Ordering and UK Delivery

Orders can be placed directly through our online print platform, giving you access to customised NCR pads and business forms whenever you need them. For organisations managing multiple locations or teams, our systems support controlled ordering and consistent branding.

All NCR printing is produced in the UK, with free delivery included. Turnarounds are practical and dependable, helping you keep paperwork stocked without disruption.

If your business relies on handwritten records, delivery notes, or invoice books, carbonless forms remain a simple, proven solution—printed properly, they just work.

How NCR Printing Works

NCR printing uses specially coated paper designed to transfer written or printed information between sheets through chemical microcapsules. The top sheet, known as CB (Coated Back), contains micro-encapsulated dye. When pressure is applied—such as from a pen or printer—the capsules rupture, releasing dye onto the next sheet (CF or Coated Front), which has a reactive clay coating. This creates an instant duplicate without the need for carbon paper.

For multi-part forms, intermediate sheets called CFB (Coated Front and Back) are used, allowing two to six parts depending on operational needs. Each layer is engineered for long-term durability and consistent colour transfer, ensuring clean, professional results across all copies.

Materials and Quality Standards

All NCR paper used by Inprint is sourced from trusted UK and European mills and typically ranges between 60gsm and 80gsm, depending on the required strength and finish. Production is carried out using proven quality-control procedures that ensure colour consistency, accurate collation, and minimal waste.

We offer a choice of responsibly sourced papers from recognised sustainable suppliers, including FSC®. Coatings and adhesives are produced under modern environmental standards and contain no harmful or restricted substances.

Binding and Finishing Options:
  • Glued NCR pads for convenient tear-away sets
  • Wire-stitched NCR books for heavy-duty or field use
  • Micro-perforation for easy page separation
  • Sequential numbering and barcoding for traceable records
  • Wraparound writing shields to prevent unwanted mark-through
All pads are precision-trimmed and carefully checked to ensure registration alignment and uniform duplication across every page.

NCR Printing vs. Carbon Sheets vs. Digital Alternatives

While digital systems offer convenience, physical NCR documentation continues to be a dependable choice for sectors that require tangible, instantly duplicable records.
Feature NCR Printing Traditional Carbon Sheets Digital Forms
Clean, professional copies ✖ (carbon smudge)
Requires electricity or connectivity
Suitable for mobile/field work
Archival longevity ✔ (long-term readability) Moderate Variable
Eco-friendly ✔ (no carbon residue) Depends on energy source

NCR remains the practical choice for documentation in logistics, construction, and service sectors where paper records must be immediately accessible and verifiable on-site.

Use Cases and Industry Applications

NCR printing remains indispensable across industries where physical documentation, traceability, and signature capture are essential. Typical use cases include:

Durability, Longevity, and Archiving

High-grade carbonless paper maintains legibility for many years when stored correctly. The inks and coatings used are safe, non-toxic, and suitable for long-term handling.

Storage and Handling Recommendations:
  • Store pads in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight.
  • Avoid stacking under heavy loads to prevent unintended transfer.
  • Use ballpoint pens or impact printers for the clearest impressions.
When stored appropriately, NCR forms support standard business record-keeping and archiving needs.
